Description: When I turned 28, someone asked about my five-year plan for life, a question usually only meant to seek out answers around career goals, marriage, and family. It made me think, beyond all the main goals one might have, what will the “B-Sides” of life look like over the course of the next five years? Those answers, no matter how mundane or grandiose, seem far more interesting to learn about in the sense that they aren’t as predictable. And during a chapter of life when change is rampant, slowing down with designated personal moments feels more prudent than ever. So I started documenting my friends in their late 20s and early 30s to see what their version of downtime, the vitamin they take before bed to get through the chaos of life, looks like now.
